Our candidates:
We have this ‘92 Cutlass Ciera
OR this ‘96 Grand Prix
Which will it be fellow Oppos? The Olds that probably has no floorboards? Or the Pontiac that is “a good little car”?

I’ll split the difference with 1994 and Corvette

Is there a third option?

Pontiac for sure.

Yeah, that’s my opinion as well.

On the one hand, I like Olds as a brand, and it looks classy. On the other hand, I dig the aggressive stupidity of the looks of that year range Pontiac. Poncho it is.

I’d go with Gary Johnson except that I need a President to have some concept of foreign policy, and I’d like Jill Stein except that I expect a doctor to not cave to the anti-vaxxers.
So basically, I’d buy a bike. To hell with cars.
But if I had to choose, it’d be the Pontiac. Only because you seemingly can’t find a 3.8L powered Lumina.

Pontiac. W-body > N-body

The last Cutlass Ciera I drove was a 2.8L with a carb, and the dash would shake on the freeway.
The last Grand Prix I drove has as many torque steers as buttons on the steering wheel.
I say go for the GP. Because tiny headlights.

I’d go Pontiac. At least it gives the impression that you haven’t totally given up.

The plastic on the front of the Pontiac is awful.

Oh dear Lord, it’s a metaphor for the Presidential election.....

I’ll take the GM EV1 in the corner that was taken away by GM and would still destroy the Pontiac compared to the collapsing Oldsmobile.
It’s funny how neither brands exist now.

Whatever is through the trees behind the Pontiac.

Pontiac because they can look good and the taillights are cool looking

Cutlass or ban

Always had a soft spot for those Grand Prix, they look kinda cool.

I have a soft spot for Cieras, our family had one when I was a kid.

Get the Oldsmobile.. especially if it has the 3.3L V6. Paint delamination isn’t a good indicator of what the floorboards look like... though it is a good indication that the car sat in the sun a lot.
And if that Pontiac has the 3.4L “Twin Dual Cam” engine, AVOID IT... DO NOT BUY IT.

FWD A-Body > 1st gen W-body > N-body.
That Oldsmobile is an A-Body, not an N-body.

Pontiac.

I’d choose the Olds. Those Cieras were typically pretty reliable - at least when they were semi-newish used cars. The GPs not so much. Neither are particularly fun to drive.

If these are my choices, I choose to bike.
